For the second year in a row, Novus Spine & Pain Center has been recognized as the “Best of Central Florida” Vascular Vein Clinic in Polk County’s Official Community Choice Awards from the Ledger Media Group. The awards presentation ceremony, held September 19, was attended by numerous dignitaries and local business leaders.
Polk County’s “Best of Central Florida” Community Choice Awards recognize businesses in several categories with Novus Spine & Pain Center winning in the health category. In all, 172 awards were presented to local businesses and organizations in categories that included clothing, dining, education, and services.
Dr. Torres, surprised by the second win for Novus Spine & Pain Center, said, “I was surprised because I was just honored to be here. I was shocked when I heard our name.”
Best of Central Florida Selection Process
Nominees were selected through online and mail-in voting in June with the top three finalists chosen in each category in July. The nomination is a mark of respect by not only the patients and friends of the Novus Spine & Pain Center’s vein clinic but the community at large. Being selected as one of the three finalists is a genuine distinction; winning for the second year in a row is truly an honor.
Dr. Torres and other business winners attributed their recognition to the personal attention and service provided to the community. Upon winning this year’s award, Dr. Torres did not take all the credit. He said, “I thank my patients for this win. I try to do the best for everyone and treat them like family.”
