Sciatica (Lumbar Radiculopathy) is an irritation or compression of one or more nerve roots in the lumbar (lower) spine that travel to the hips, buttocks, legs, and feet. It may be the result of a variety of problems with the bones and tissues of the lumbar spinal column. The problem may be associated with the spinal discs or a bone spur pressing on a nerve.
